Privacy Policy

This document is written in English, in England and is subject to English Law.

This privacy policy is for ipDTL.com and hybrIP.com, is served by In:Quality Limited (the company), and governs the privacy of those individuals and organizations who choose to use it (the user). The policy sets out the different areas where user privacy is concerned and outlines the obligations & requirements of the user and the company. Furthermore, the way the company processes, stores and protects user data and information will also be detailed within this policy.

Data Storage and Retention
Philosophy

Personal information is kept private and stored securely, until a time it is no longer required or has no use, as detailed in the UK Data Protection Act 1998 and the EU General Data Protection Regulation 2018. The company will only share data with third parties when it is a technical necessity for providing service to the user, and only to the required extent.

The company takes a proactive approach to user privacy and ensures the necessary steps are taken to protect the privacy of the user throughout their visiting experience. This website complies to all UK and European laws and requirements for user privacy.

Billing and Contact Information

For billing and contact purposes, the company stores the name, e-mail, and physical address as provided by the user. The company retains this information until the user closes their account. When a subscription is activated using a payment card, the company shares that information with SagePay, a credit card processor in the United Kingdom, who will also collect and store card payment credentials. Their privacy policy can be viewed here.

Call Data

The company does not retain data relating to IP media connections established directly between instances of its web browser applications.

For cost and quality control, security, and to prevent fraud, the company stores the following data about connections to public telephony networks: Login ID, time, approximate cost to the company, and the destination number. After 60 days, the company will anonymize the destination number of the call record. Third party telephony partners (such as AT&T, CenturyLink, BT) also store call records as is normal for such accounts. The company does not share any personal data with such partners, beyond the required call destination numbers.

Website Access

To better understand how customers use the company's services, records are held of pages visited, along with the IP address of the user, and - if logged in - their login ID. This allows the company to aggregate the data of unique visitors. It is stored independently of other account data, and is used exclusively for website visitor statistics. The company makes use of the open source software "Matomo" for this purpose. The user may opt out of this feature by enabling a browser's "do not track" option at any time.

Log Files

For security and development purposes, the company maintains various log files on each of its servers. These are text files, are not electronically processed, and are deleted after 60 days. They may be viewed by a technician for the purpose of analyzing technical problems. Log files may contain the user's IP address, Login ID, telephony and SIP call data, and/or e-mail address.

The company's web browser applications maintain a local log in the user's computer memory, detailing technical processes related to hardware access and media connections. If the application encounters an error, this log will be transmitted to the company's server(s) for review, and to allow for the fixing of bugs. In addition to the software flow, it includes the user's IP address, type of browser, and Login ID.

Cookies and Local Storage

The company's websites set a so-called "session cookie", which is a unique identifier shared with its web server(s) every time a page is loaded. This allows account specific features to be saved and recalled. Two more cookies are set by the web analytics software "Matomo" as detailed above.
The various application settings remembered between sessions are saved in a browser's "Local Storage" and are not sent over the network. A small number of settings may be shared with and stored on the company's server(s) so that an account may be used between different computers for improved usability.
